Mac Seka is a singer songwriter from Dakar /Senegal.Like many youngsters in Africa choosing to be a musician is not always easy,but despite challenges along the way,Mac has always kept believing in his art and music.Also a painter at that time he taught himself how to play the guitar which has played a big role in achieving his unique style.Influenced by a wide range of musical genres and styles including rock,jazz,traditional african music and blues,his music is a mix of African and western influences.His voice and guitar work in harmony to create melodies that are both sweet and melancholic.After long years of training ,learning and perfecting his craft,he formed his first band "FAJART" a three pieces band,a bass player a percussionist and Mac as a singer and guitar player.The band did quite well playing in festivals and touring schools in dakar but it was short lifted as Mac was offered a contract as a guitar player to go to Gambia and join "JELITARAFUTA",entertaining guests in hotels performing every night of the week.

This was the turning point in his career as it led him to his first UK tour in 2003,performing in some of the biggest festivals in the UK.Over the last few years Mac has been performing mostly as a solo artist but do collaborate from time to time with other musicians.
